FITNESS AND TECHNICAL LEVELS
FITNESS LEVEL
1 Easy: 20 - 40 km, 500 - 800 m+ (beginners)
2 Average: 30 - 50 km, 800 - 1500 m+ (good fitness condition)
3 Demanding: 40 - 70 km, 1200 - 2000 m+ (good fitness condition, regular training)
Italian alps enduro week is to be considered of level 2. Even if the km count is on the lower side, the steepness of certains climbs, the altitude gains and some hike-a-bike passages justify its ranking.
TECHNICAL LEVEL
1 Easy: beginners' friendly with some technical bits without particular difficulty. Narrow and steep passages possibles.
2 Average: average difficulty with some technical sections (roots, stones, sharp turns, steep ascents-descents).
3 Demanding: technically demanding with many difficult passages (steps, stairs, rock gardens, switchbacks, ...).
Italian alps enduro week is to be considered of level 2 to 3. The participant has to be able to feel comfortable in steep and loose terrains, with rocks and roots and eventually stairs and step-downs. The trails present some tight corners where the nose-turn technique can be useful. The participant has to be able to manage narrow and exposed passages.
